Dr. Ing. Amalia Suzianti
Amalia Suzianti is an associate professor in Department of Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia. She holds a Ph.D in Innovation System Design from Technische Universitaet Berlin, Germany and University of Luxembourg (2010), Master of Science in Technology and Innovation Management from Brandenburgische Technische Universitaet Cottbus, Germany (2004), and a Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial Engineering from Universitas Indonesia (2000). One of her remarkable achievements is that she has been awarded with a Postgraduate Scholarship for Professionals by German Academic Exchange Services (DAAD) in 2002 and graduated with outstanding results.
Prior to joining Universitas Indonesia in late 2010, she has acquired international academic and professional work experiences, mainly in Europe, Asia and Latin America. She has involved in various multinational projects in different industries such as automotive (Daimler Benz, Germany), consumer goods (Givaudan SA Europe, Unilever Europe), IT (Siemens Europe and Singapore) and energy (Total Germany). Her research interests lie in the fields of New Product and Service Development, Technology and Innovation Management, Technology Policy and Sustainable Innovation. She is also a member of Product Development and Management Association (PDMA) and Design Society (DS).
Dr. Suzianti is currently active as the Head of Product Development and Innovation Laboratory and Head of Industrial Engineering Department, Universitas Indonesia.
Dr. Komarudin, ST., M.Eng
Komarudin holds a PhD degree from Vrije Universiteit Brussel specializing in operations research and management science. Before pursuing his PhD, Komarudin obtained a master degree from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and an undergraduate degree from Universitas Indonesia.
Komarudin expertise is on operations research/management science. He has published numerous research papers; among others on European Journal of Operational Research, Journal of the Operational Research Society, and Annals of Operations Research. Specifically, his research are on developing and implementing optimization methods and algorithms for solving industrial problems, such as facility layout, vehicle routing, network design, personnel rostering, etc.
In addition, He is also active on implementing operations research and data science in practical worlds. Recently, he developed several optimization algorithms and performed simulation analysis in improving a major open-pit mining company in Indonesia. Moreover, he has successful in redesigning an FMCG’s logistics network design with 22K nodes so that the logistics can be decreased by up to half.
